Tonight was the first night I have ever been to a mixer. It was an awesome experience. Going in to it, I was worried about being the youngest person in the room (aren’t I always?). I was happy that my business cards came in time for tonight. I recieved GREAT advice from everyone and it was greatly appreciated! To everyone in Communications and PR, I recommend going to these mixers but also be prepared! Business cards are an easy way to swap info. I am soooo happy the ODU Chapter let me know how important they really are. It was bad enough I felt out of place because I am so young, but it would of been worst without my cards, and without confidence of course! The student/pro mixer was a BLAST! Can’t wait for the next one 🙂
