Just as I began to lose all hope for humanity, I see the “Princess Boy”! Why am I so intrigued by this? Because for the first time in a long time, I have seen people accept a person for who they are and not by what society expects them to be.

I was especially suprised when I saw that the parents were so accepting. I would typically expect to see a parent try to force their child in the societal role of what a boy or girl should look like, wear, act like, and want to be. But seeing these parents complete throw away society rules makes me smile and it makes me hopeful.

That someday, everyone in the world will be able to be just as accepting! I also hope that when I become a mother someday I will be able to do the same.
