As many of you know, I am a HUGE Fall Out Boy fan! When I heard they were getting back together I had no choice but to get my ticket right away. In honor of the band’s return, I will take you through 5 days of Fall Out Boy leading up to their SOLD OUT concert in Columbus on May 17 for their Save Rock and Roll tour.
Day 2
“Drink down that gin and kerosene and come spit on bridges with me. Just to keep us warm, light a match to leave me be.”
The opening lines to Fall Out Boy’s “Nobody Put’s Baby In The Corner” is saying in so many words, “go kill yourself and leave me alone”. My interpretation of the song: it is about someone who is bitter because they have just got their heart broken and they want that person to disappear off of the face of the earth. The only problem is, though their heart is broken, they are still in love and too jealous to completely leave this person in fear that they will go be with someone else. So they put up with all of their drama and the chance to be free and happy because they are still in love. Everyone has been there right?
A crazy, bitter, and tear jerking love story sung beautifully.
Below is the song and a link to lyrics so you can see what I mean. Let me know what you think:
