As many of you know, I am a HUGE Fall Out Boy fan! When I heard they were getting back together I had no choice but to get my ticket right away. In honor of the band’s return, I will take you through 5 days of Fall Out Boy leading up to their SOLD OUT concert in Columbus on May 17 for their Save Rock and Roll tour.

 Day 3

“Golden” by Fall Out Boy is one of my all time favorite songs, ever! This song is so beautiful and has a lot of meaning.

My interpretation of the song: we are taught at a young age to follow the “golden rule”, “do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” (Matt. 7:12) but how is this a fair rule when people are constantly treating us like s*&%? Why should I treat this person with respect when they don’t give me any? It is a cruel rule, but it is how God intends for us all to behave. Because of this, when I look into the eyes of the enemy I see God, so I have no choice but to turn the other cheek and give them respect.
