I don’t think words can express how antsy I am as I await for MOB Music to release their very first project as a unit.
Yes, for the first time Bizz, Riggz, Madd and Sledge will release a mixtape comprised of the creative vision of all four artist.
Why will this tape be amazing?
Let’s start with Bizz…
Bizzoe’s a lyricist; hands down. His word play is amazing and he even manages to create an imagery of a sexual encounter using basketball as a metaphor on “Alley Oop”. Like seriously? He’s the type of rapper that you have to double back on and rewind to make sure you heard him correctly. You’ll do that a lot with this tape.
Next you have Riggz who always manages to get you thinking about life and the journey. Tracks like “Chosen” show you that he is working relentlessly to be sure that people know who MOB is. It also shows you that he is always thinking about life and the unknown. That is something that is always prevalent in his music.
Then you have rude ass Madd who is too smart for his own good. Hard is his style and he goes hard every time. You don’t even get two seconds into the tape before you hear this man coming at you demanding respect and clarifying his zero tolerance for bullish*t. He’s a genius and it shows with his verses easily.
Sledge is coming fresh off of the People’s Champ Vol. 2 release better than ever. He had a lot to do with the flow of the tape and was even called “the symphony manager” when it came to how “beautifully” the “Egos Interlude” was set up. While Sledge is known for getting on our favorite trappers beats, he hops on slow tracks like “Fly Away” and gives us something smooth.
The tape was produced by Von out of JoksClub who “put a blessing on this tape” that is set to be released next Monday, July 28.
As we lead up to the release, I have had the pleasure of speaking with each artist individually about this project and their journey through life, music and the road to the tape with a full documentary to be released this Friday.
Until then, change your avi to the MOB Mixtape Vol. 1 cover and check out the preview:
