Yeah, but did you hear Slaughterhouse though?

The BET Hip Hop Awards never fails to gives us something to talk about. From the Queen B Lil Kim hopping in on a cypher to Rick Ross with his shirt off (as usual) there is never a dull moment.

The most talked about moment that I know EVERY blogger and news outlet will be writing about is #KendricksVerse. Hands down Kendrick had the best verse in the cyphers last night (I think, but we’ll get to that). Even though he took shots at Champagne Papi, no one can deny this mans talent. Lyrically he is one of the best in the game right now.

I love the competitive nature that Kendrick has and he is not afraid to say whatever the hell he wants to say. Let’s just hope these back and forth disses stay as friendly competition.

Overall, Slaughterhouse takes the cake in having THE best cypher last night. The only person from Slaughterhouse I have ever really heard of is Joe Budden and I am utterly ashamed of myself. These guys did not mess around!

For those who are in the dark like I was, Slaughterhouse is a group consisting of rappers Crooked I, Joell Ortiz, Royce da 5’9″, and the ever so talented (and handsome) Joe Budden. The group is currently signed to Shady Records – which makes sense after hearing how lyrically talented all 4 of them are.

Slaughterhouse has stepped on the BET Hip Hop Awards stage before in 2011 during the Shady 2.0 Cypherhow did I ever forget about that?

The guy that stood out the most to me was Crooked I. Flow? CHECK! Lyrical substance? CHECK! This man is the real deal. I honestly am not sure if Crooked I or Kendrick had the best cypher verse.

“I want to walk into every BET Cypher and murder every rapper, spit, and call it ‘Hip Hop Population Control.'”

“I’m so street look both ways before you cross me.”

You be the judge! Check out both cyphers and let me know what you think:

[AUDIO] BET 2013 Hip Hop Awards Cypher | Slaughterhouse

“Game on!”

After weeks of anticipation, the new season of The Game is finally here. With over 100,000 followers, listed over 600 times on twitter, and over 3 millions ‘likes’ on facebook, The Game is looking like it is going to be a hit this season. After the show flopped and was sent off the air, tonight the cast of The Game finally got to redeem themselves.

The Game this season does not seem to be too much different than what the viewers are used to. There is the Typical Tasha Mack being her loud self, Jason Pitts and his now ex-wife Kelly are still trying to ruin eachother’s lives, Derwin and Melanie are still not over their ‘baby mama drama’, and Malik Wright is being the stereotypical athlete. The dynamics of the show have not changed much, but there are a few new faces; Terrence J from BET’s 106 and park, and actress Megan Good.

This first episode was packed with drama, but it seems like it could be too much drama all at once. There were some situations that the viewers could easily predict the outcome. By the looks of things, it appears Malik is going to hit rock bottom soon enough. And finally when Melanie and Derwin have it all together, their relationship will soon be on the rocks.

However, it is safe to say that tonights episode kept the viewers on edge. The Game has a huge fan base, but they are going to have to bring it if they want to stay on the air for good!
