Happy Music Monday! Here you will find the latest in popular music every Monday.

Nicki Minaj has decided to return from her music hiatus and get back on scene. She took a short break and during that time she was a judge on American Idol, her clothing line is moving and making progress, and her perfume has many editions. Anyone that knows me, knows that I’ve been rocking with Nicki since “The Come Up” so you know I’m excited!

One of her return debuts was being featured on Ciara‘s “I’m Out” where she murdered…like slaughtered the entire song. Honestly, if Nicki was not on this song, I’m not sure if it would have been as good.

The thing I love about the Nickster (yes, we’re tight enough for me to give her a nickname) on this track is that she was BRAGGING!

“Big fat a** and big d**** follow!”

Like what? Stop it. But I love the attitude.

She also has a sappy track with singer Mario titled “Somebody Else” where she’s rapping about relationship issues. I love this track because it’s very real. Admitting that you’re salty because your lover left you for another person. Don’t cry, Mario, happens to the best of us.

How do I know Nicki is gearing up for war?

Because I know her.

Think back to 2011 before Pink Friday dropped. Nicki was on every body’s song! She had feature after feature after feature. From Kanye West and DJ Khaled to David Guetta. Baby girl was working! All of this was building the buzz for the drop of her first album.

Now she’s already on multiple songs that are out right now so you know she’s in the studio doing more features and brewing up another album. She recently put up a video on Instagram of a song that is her featuring someone who sounds like Future. Check it out > http://instagram.com/p/bw9XEqL8TO/

Nicki has had doubters from the first day she stepped on the scene. Due to that, she always delivers fire. Always! I have a feeling this next album is going to be crazy!

Ciara ft. Nicki Minaj | “I’m Out”

I have also been intrigued by the internet, specifically any sort of social media outlet. I can seriously get lost for HOURS on my favorite social networks. I started using social media back in the day when there were Neopets and Xanga (are those still around?). I am always lurking around to find some of the latest social media outlets and tools. Here are a few that I use and adore (besides twitter & facebook – they’re a given)!

Google+ is not a new new social media outlet but it is definitely one I am still trying to get to know. The thing that makes Google+ unique to me, is the ability to share posts with specific groups of people. You can create circles of friends, acquaintances, colleagues, and etc. By doing so, when you make a post, you can decide which one of those circles you want to share the post with. You can also choose to share to the public, and your extended circles as well. Great social network that gives you a little more privacy.

Path is an app on I came across from some of the people I follow on Instagram – it is also under the “What’s Hot” section in the Apple App Store. At first this app was slightly creepy to me because the word path is exactly what this app is all about; it tracks your Path. In order to make this app less creepy, you definitely need to be sure that your location services do not automatically update. Besides that, the app is really great. It allows you to sync to your facebook, twitter, tumblr, and foursquare. You can post status’, pictures, and it even can tell what kind of music you’re listening to and you can share that as well. Foursquare has also been a favorite of mine, so it’s nice that I can use Path to check-in our foursquare also!

Flipboard is my new found love! Basically, it is a like a newspaper filled with things that you actually care about. It allows you to pick categories that you’re interested in, and it will show you the top stories from those categories. You can also link your facebook and twitter and the top stories of their will appear as well. And when you create a Flipboard account, you can sync your favorite content and social networks between iPhone and an iPad if you have both.

SocialBro is a cool new app located on Google Chrome. It is a way for you track your influence, look at your online community, and it will even give you the best time of day for you to tweet. It also shows you the time of day that most of your twitter followers are online. Which will also help you know the best times of day to tweet as well. Great new social media tool that keeps in nerd like me “in the know” of my online presence.

My FAVORITE app is the My Pink Friday app. As some of you know, I have a slight obsession with Nicki Minaj; so how could I not have this app? This is a fun app that I use to stay up to date on all things Nicki Minaj. I can look at the lastest news of Nicki, her recent twitter posts, and also what other people are saying about Nicki. This app also comes equipped with the Nictionary; which gives a definition of all of the crazy sayings of Nicki. I.E. “ACKORGIDDYWAY ITCHESORGIDDYBAY”. You would know what that meant if you have the app!
