Around this time in my life four years ago I met one of my best friends and we instantly became inseparable. We even went as far as combining our names and NISHTINA was born. This song was our anthem senior year and still remains one of our favorite songs to this day.
“Tell them heaux stoppington, they know they want everything that we be copington!”
Nicki Minaj has been one of my favorite artist for yearssss (if you haven’t noticed) and will always be. This Throwback Thursday is dedicated to a classic old school Nicki song and lifelong friendships.
Girls, grab your BFF and enjoy!
It’s been awhile but the wait is so worth it.
This. Song. Is. Life.
I heard this song when I was a freshmen in high school and it remains on my list of favorite songs to this day! Is Chiodos still around?
We say what we feel then we stop ourselves and just walk away. Never looking back, loving every second of it, we just walk away.
This song is the ultimate bitter break up song. Dumping/or getting dumped by someone sucks no matter what end of the spectrum you’re on. What better way to handle it than ignoring everything you have said, everything you have done, and never looking back? Right? According to Chiodos that was the way to go! But, then again….how can you really just forget everything and pretend it never happened. Now you see the dilemma they’re singing about?
I can remember this song getting me through A LOT! Artist may never understand how powerful a hook can be. AND for those who are not a fan of screamo, like my mother wasn’t, the song even comes in a beautiful acoustic version.
Check out the song and let me know what you think:
